Adaptation
of books into movies often cause a split amongst book fans. Some fans hate
them, claiming that the movies never live up to the expectations set by the
books; however, other fans love them, as they are visual representations of
some of their most beloved characters and story-lines. In the remainder of 2013
alone, many of these movies are scheduled to come out.
November 8th: Great Expectations
Based on "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens
This movie is being remade... Again. But with Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane and more, it'll he sure to draw attention back to Pip's classic story.

Based on "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak
A holocaust story like never before, The Book Thief provides a glimpse into a coming of age story and a real love of books. Featuring some bright new upcoming stars, this film had to also address the concept if death, who narrates the novel, and decided the plot should be more focused on the story's protagonist, Liesel Meminger , played by Sophie NĂ©lisse.

December 6th: Inside Llewyn Davis

Based on "The Sting Man: Inside Abscam" by Robert W. Greene
The book follows a "fast-buck operator" who developed Abscam - the scheme that put 7 congressmen and 1 senator behind bars. However, the real buzz from this movie comes from the star studded cast: Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale AND Jennifer Lawrence. It was also filmed in Boston, so check out scenes filmed in the city!
